Understanding Calcaneal Spurs
Calcaneal spurs, commonly known as heel spurs, are bony growths that form on the underside or back of the heel bone (calcaneus). They often develop over time due to repeated stress, strain, or inflammation affecting the foot. While heel spurs themselves may not always cause pain, they are frequently associated with conditions such as plantar fasciitis and can lead to sharp heel discomfort, stiffness, and difficulty walking. At Within Normal Limits Physical Therapy, we focus on relieving pain, improving foot mechanics, and restoring comfortable movement through personalized, non-surgical care.
